| TAE SHO DO is a system that was created by Shihan Bruce Lee Cabaza Ortiz. It incorporates different styles of Martial Arts; Shotokan, Tae Kwon Do, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, as well as Japanese Jujitsu. If one were to look up the definition of the systems, they would find that, Tae Kwon Do means the way of the fist and feet; Shotokan, if translated directly means "House of Waving Pine". Waving Pine or "Shoto" was the pen name of Gichin Funakoshi, the founding father of Shotokan. This system focused on releasing energy so that strength and power were concentrated and maximized, emphasized proper breathing and centered on obtaining optimal mind and body control. Jujitsu concentrates on joint manipulation and pressure points. When combined, it builds a powerhouse system that can produce some of the world's most effective Martial Artists. That system is TAE SHO DO. |
