TAE SHO DO
BLACK BELTS
Terell "The Hybrid" Jones

At the struggling young age of 11, Terell was a kid off the streets, looking for
trouble and instead stumbled upon a life of discipline with The Arts.  He started
training with Parra's TKD Federation in 1995.  Fate led him to Master Cabaza
Ortiz in 2003, where he continued his training and achieved his Black Belt in
Dec. 04.  Terell can be found at any one of TAE SHO DO's Dojo's acting as
assistant instructor.   It was at TAE SHO DO that he got his first taste of Jujitsu,
which changed his entire view of the Martial Arts.  Now, a 2nd Dan Black Belt, he
is known as one of TAE SHO DO's most dangerous, well rounded fighters.

"Impossible is a word in the dictionary for fools!"
Julio "AirWalker" Aquino

Julio came to TAE SHO DO in 2002.  He began learning TKD WTF forms,
progressed to ITF forms and continued onto Shotokan.  He acheived  his Black
belt on April 23rd, 2004.  He is an OUTSTANDING gymnists and an agile and
avid Capoeira Warrior.   He achieved his 2nd Dan Black Belt in TAE SHO DO in
May 2006.  He is the proud father of one of TAE SHO DO's youngest Warrior,
Leilani Aquino!

 "Practice makes Progress!"
Christian "Ryu" Burgos

Chris began his training in TKD Moo Do Kwon, which utilizes both ITF and WTF
techniques. He received first Dan Black Belt in that system  Jan.  2004.  In May
of that same year, be began training in Shotokan  with Master Cabaza Ortiz and
received his Black Belt in Dec 2004, an incredible acheivement that rarely
occurs.  He's also trained in Kickboxing with Katsugo Karate (Associated with
Ruben and Reno Morales of B.S.K.C.) Proving yet again, that TAE SHO DO
WARRIORS remain versatile.

  "Versatility builds Effectiveness!"
Dennis "Ghost Face" DelValle

Dennis found Parra's Tae Kwon Do in June 1993.  A skillful practioner in the arts,
he reached his Black Belt in 1995.  In May 2005, after a rigorous 4 day
examination, he obtained his 4th Dan in Tae Kwon Do making him one of the
youngest masters in that federation.   While training in TAE KWON DO, he met
another federation member, Master Cabaza Ortiz and started his training in
TAE SHO DO.  He strives for perfection for his Master In Training who is only 1
year old, his daughter Destiny Mya DelValle.

"Enjoy life today because today is soon gone and tomorrow may never
                                                           come!"
Tito "M.I.A." Negron

My name is Tito M.I.A Negron.  I've been training since I was 9 years old. I started
with Sensei Norman Smith.  I stopped training to continue my studies but to no
avail.  In 2003 I met Master Bruce Lee Cabaza Ortiz and been training in the Tae
Sho Do arts for 3 years.  I am now proficient in both Shotokan & Tae Kwon Do.

"The first step to becoming a WARRIOR is to remove the words "I Can't"
                                         from your vocabulary"
Felix "DipKick" Rodriguez

It might sound like a cliche, but I always watched karate movies as a young boy. Then one
day I got to experience it "Up close and personal" at one of TAE SHO DO's examinations.  It
was like nothing I had ever seen.  Instantly I knew what I wanted...to take classes, and I
knew with who...Master Ortiz and TAE SHO DO!

So there I was, an unexperienced white belt and I had the honor of training with all the black
belts.  I didn't know how THAT happened but I soaked up all the knowledge they offered!
That was a little over five years ago.  I am now a home grown TSD Black Belt, lol.  I started
training with the best and am now one of their best.

"W
HEN OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS, DON'T JUST OPEN THE DOOR, GRAB IT AND RUN!!!"
Ilsa "The Coach" Garcia-Ortiz
TAE SHO DO's first
FEMALE Black Belt

As a child I loved the art but could not afford classes. As an adult, when my
path crossed Master Ortiz ' path again, I took advantage of his offer.  Coming
out of an abusive relationship, I realized just how important the Art was.  I
discovered I had a keen eye for techniques and found a specialty in forms. I
gained the nick-name Coach when I began helping my fellow warriors advance
in tournaments. Master Ortiz taught me what PLACE OF MY TRUTH meant.
Martial Arts became my truth and the Dojo my home. Train hard, dedicate
yourself, have honor in your heart and it will bleed through the body, respect
others but most of all respect yourself. Blood, sweat and tears leads to victory
within oneself. Afterall, the black belt represents your struggle, wear it proud!

"Everything happens for a reason so don't EVER limit yourself!"
Jesus "Bamm Bamm" Morales

As a child I can remember watching karate flicks in the movies with my
father and coming out trying to do those moves.  As I grew up, the thrill
of Martial Arts did not go away I still wanted to learn.  In 2003 I met
Master Bruce Lee Cabaza Ortiz and from he became not only my
instructor but a mentor and friend. In 2007 I became a black belt and look
foward to achieving bigger goals. I will teach anyone who wants to learn and
make sure my two daughters follow in my footsteps.

" Only the strong survive and the weak perish"
Placido "WildStyle" Contreras

I can always remember watching karate and Kung Fu movies and trying to mimic
the moves I had just seen.  Thinking back, I realize that I have always had love,
respect and a  passion for the Art.  A few years ago, fate had me cross paths with
an incredible man, Master Bruce Lee Cabaza Ortiz.  I began training with him and
learning the system he created, TAE SHO DO, which is and eclectic system of
Shotokan, TaeKwonDo and Jujitsu.  That December evening changed my life and
made me a part of a family of true warriors.  I am what some might call "addicted"
to my TAE SHO DO system!

"Stay focused on your Path and you shall overcome anything! 0US!!!!!"
Eliezer "Wolf" Sabino

I met Master Cabaza Ortiz  in Morris H. S.  I was only fourteen when he took me under
his wing and turned me to an entirely different person. I've known Master for nine years
and he's become like a father to me. Everything I know is because Master passed it on
to me and my dojo brothers and sisters.  He made us all Elite Warriors. I became a Black
Belt April 10th, 2008. It's been a long journey but we strive for perfection of character. I
am an Elite Warrior and I have a new mission to accomplish.  That mission is  to become
a Master and face the impossible. It's my time to shine and nothing is going to get in my
way of being the best at TAE SHO DO. OUS!

"Get out of my way or I'll go throw you". "You're not stoping my destiny to be
the best of the best HHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
