Terell "The Hybrid" Jones
Assistant Instructor/ Sparring Specialist

At the struggling young age of 11, Terell was a kid off the streets, looking for
trouble and instead stumbled upon a life of discipline with The Arts.  He started
training with Parra's TKD Federation in 1995.  Fate led him to Master Cabaza
Ortiz in 2003, where he continued his training and achieved his Black Belt in
Dec. 04.  Terell can be found at any one of TAE SHO DO's Dojo's acting as
assistant instructor.   It was at TAE SHO DO that he got his first taste of Jujitsu,
which changed his entire view of the Martial Arts.  Now, a 2nd Dan Black Belt, he
is known as one of TAE SHO DO's most dangerous, well rounded fighters.

"Young Master"

Life is a constant struggle so you must prepare.  You shouldn't take anything for
granted.  Learn from everything in life.  Beware of those that claim they can
never be beaten.  Beware of those that think theirs is the best.  Strengths
display differently in different people.  Sharpen your strengths while you
concentrate on your weaknesses.  Be respectful, humble and honorable and
ALWAYS remember where you came from.  My struggle has not been easy but it
has brought me some of the best things in life.

Christian "Ryu" Burgos
"Young Master"

Christian began his Martial Arts Career training in Taekwondo MooDukKwan
under Sabumnim Federico D. Parra and Fred A. Parra (AKA. Prophet), since
March of 1994.  In Jan of 2004, Christian had met with Master Cabaza Ortiz and
has been training in Shotokan Karate ever since.  He is one of the three original
TaeShoDo Black Belts.  Since then, he has reached new levels in his training
becoming proficient in both WTF and ITF Taekwondo styles and being part of a
WTF traveling competition team with Master Yong Lae Kim; training in
Kickboxing under Sensei Amore and other masters in disciples such as Hapikdo,
Aikido, traditional Ju-jitsu, and Judo.  Recently, Christian has obtained a Blue
Belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu under Justin Garcia of Bronx Jungle Gym.  He strives for
the perfection and mastery of all disciplines, while living the Martial Way.

Tito "M.I.A." Negron

My name is Tito M.I.A Negron.  I've been training since I was 9 years old. I started
with Sensei Norman Smith.  I stopped training to continue my studies but to no
avail.  In 2003 I met Master Bruce Lee Cabaza Ortiz and been training in the Tae
Sho Do arts ever since.  I am now proficient in both Shotokan & Tae Kwon Do.

"The first step to becoming a WARRIOR is to remove the words "I Can't"
                                         from your vocabulary"
Felix "DipKick" Rodriguez
Sparring Specialist

It might sound like a cliche, but I always watched karate movies as a young boy. Then one
day I got to experience it "Up close and personal" at one of TAE SHO DO's examinations.  It
was like nothing I had ever seen.  Instantly I knew what I wanted...to take classes, and I
knew with who...Master Ortiz and TAE SHO DO!

So there I was, an unexperienced white belt and I had the honor of training with all the black
belts.  I didn't know how THAT happened but I soaked up all the knowledge they offered!
That was a little over five years ago.  I am now a home grown TSD Black Belt, lol.  I started
training with the best and am now one of their best.

Ilsa "The Coach" Garcia-Ortiz
TAE SHO DO's first
FEMALE Black Belt
Assistant Instructor/ Forms Specialust

As a child I loved the art but could not afford classes. As an adult, when my path
crossed Master Ortiz ' path again, I took advantage of his offer.  Coming out of an
abusive relationship, I realized just how important the Art was.  I discovered I had a
keen eye for techniques and found a specialty in forms. I gained the nick-name
Coach when I began helping my fellow warriors advance in tournaments. Master
Ortiz taught me what PLACE OF MY TRUTH meant. Martial Arts became my truth
and the Dojo my home. Train hard, dedicate yourself, have honor in your heart and
it will bleed through the body, respect others but most of all respect yourself. Blood,
sweat and tears leads to victory within oneself. Afterall, the black belt represents
your struggle, wear it proud!

"Everything happens for a reason so don't EVER limit yourself!"
Jesus "Bamm Bamm" Morales
Assistant Instructor/Coach

As a child I can remember watching karate flicks in the movies with my
father and coming out trying to do those moves.  As I grew up, the thrill
of Martial Arts did not go away I still wanted to learn.  In 2003 I met
Master Bruce Lee Cabaza Ortiz and from he became not only my
instructor but a mentor and friend. In 2007 I became a black belt and look
foward to achieving bigger goals. I will teach anyone who wants to learn and
make sure my two daughters follow in my footsteps.

“Born and bred in the South Bronx Carlos has been a fighter his whole life.  He always
had an interest in Martial Arts but when Sensei Rodriguez introduced him to Tae Sho Do
